RACE: The WTCC Game Review @ Playfuls.com
Reviews/Previews | RACE: The WTCC Game | By Paul on 21 December 2006 13:05

Playfuls.com have posted a review of RACE: The WTCC Game giving it 8.3/10:

The virtual WTCC representation was craved for some time now, and even if all the bells and whistles fail to sound across the lands of notoriety, those into motor sports will tacitly confirm the need for fresh forces within the pixel pilots' camp. Fairly auspicious setup that of landing the new project into SimBin's backyard, a name that already imposed itself on the PC auto-sims market. But somewhat surprising, the game we're looking at doesn't follow the anticipated upward line, but neither diverts (too much) from the model provided by the development team. Actually, it would be a blasphemy to assert that Race fails to impress in the simulation department.

RACE: The WTCC Game Review @ Computer and Video Games

Computer and Video Games have posted a review of RACE: The WTCC Game giving it 7.2/10:

The engine noises sound flat and samey, although much of this is down to the fact that you're literally driving half the car that you were in GTR2. In fact, we'd say that much of RACE suffers from coming after its sibling, with the lack of power and lesser graphics often combining to make it feel like much less of a product.

GTR: FIA GT Racing Game 2 Review @ GameSpy
Reviews/Previews | GTR: FIA GT Racing Game 2 | By Paul on 21 December 2006 12:54

GameSpy have posted a review of GTR: FIA GT Racing Game 2 giving it 4/5:

There are over 100 different tutorials, so expect a hefty time investment if you plan to go through all of them. The good news is that these tutorials are so exhaustive that once you finish them all you're almost guaranteed to be a better driver. This mode will remind Gran Turismo players of the license tests from that franchise, but the key difference here is that playing through these is completely optional. If you want to just jump into GTR 2 without learning about the finer points of racecar driving, you can make the game more newbie-friendly through the use of multiple driving assists. Steering assists, braking assists, traction control, anti-lock brakes, and even spin recovery are all available for those who just want to get on the track and burn some rubber.

GTR: FIA GT Racing Game 2 Review @ GameFaction
Reviews/Previews | GTR: FIA GT Racing Game 2 | By Paul on 21 December 2006 12:48

GameFaction have posted a review of GTR: FIA GT Racing Game 2 giving it 8/10:

Deciding if GTR2 is right for you boils down to what you want it to be. If you want a next generation hardcore simulation that everyone appears to be waiting for you will probably be left disappointed as GTR2 is more an evolution than revolution. The core game hasn't really changed considerably that it makes you believe its the next big leap. But if your looking for a very enjoyable racing game that caters for the majority of racers, both sim and casual drivers GTR2 is the ideal racing game to be gracing your hard drive.
