The team over at the F1GP Track Editing Project have been making some excellent progress on trying to decode the F1GP track format. Below is part of the email and a screenshot that Mike sent me:-

The latest developments in this project have been fantastic. Today, Bob Marr and I have been playing around with Monza, and the results can be seen in the attached screenshot.

We've managed to straighten out the first chicane, thanks to the help of Larry's brilliant spreadsheet file. Over the next few days, I'm aiming to completely straighten out the chicanes, and modify the CC line to match.

It seems that we have some solid information on the workings of the track section and equivalent CC line data, and consequently we're much closer to creating a full track editing program.
