M4Driving.sm have posted an interview with Ed Martin, who is in charge of the Nascar series by EA-Sports.
The NASCAR Thunder 2003 PC product was a pretty intense cycle. We started with the F1 2001 code base (and along the way, integrated pieces of F1 2002). We had about 8 months to do it. What was difficult? Well, just about everything! :-) But I would have to say that taking the racing logic of F1-style racing and turning it into NASCAR style racing was a huge challenge. F1 is a smaller number of cars and the logic is man versus track.You can read the full interview here.
