One More EA-F1 Game To Be Released: F1 2003
Game News | By Paul on 25 October 2002 22:03

According to various sources, EA have announced that they will be releasing one final game in their Formula One series; F1 2003. It is, however, unclear whether this game will be developed by ISI.

EA have decided to ditch the Formula One license due to increase in license costs and decreasing sales of their F1 series worldwide. Four games have been released since 1999 and will release F1 2003 on all formats next year before calling it a day. While the deal (on which up to $25m has been spent since 1999) allows EA official teams, stats and tracks, the deal was never exclusive as Sony, UbiSoft and Eidos have all released F1 games, with Infogrames recently taking to the genre.
