GameSpot UK Reviews F1 2002
Reviews/Previews | By Paul on 3 July 2002 16:39

GameSpot UK have posted a review of F1 2002 (PC version), awarding it 8.7/10.

When it comes to presentation EA have always been on the front row of the grid and F1 2002 proves no exception with a slick new team-themed interface, which greatly improves navigation and race setup. There's new eye candy to appreciate including the curvaceous grid girls and your animated race engineer, however once you're sitting behind the wheel of your motor, the switch to DirectX 8.1 means you'll also appreciate some truly beautiful in-game graphics. Each team now has its own individual race cockpit, but both cars and circuits have been immaculately modelled with some splendidly detailed trackside scenery and a real impression of nail-biting speed as you hurtle down the long straights and sweeping curves at Silverstone. Admittedly you do need a hefty high-spec PC to enjoy it at its best, but F1 2002 looks every bit as fast, sexy and adrenaline-fuelled as its real-life counterpart.
