Quick Race
Settings for a quickrace - length, car, track etc.

Track
Which track you want to race on

Car Number
Which car number you wish to use (based on your names file)

Grid Position
Where you want to start the race

Race Distance Percentage (5% - 100%)
What percentage of the actual race length you will race at

Race Weather
Wet - Wet weather
Dry - Dry Weather

Only Two Cars (if linked)
Only two cars in the race - not the normal 26

Practice Periods (5 - 120 minutes)
The maximum length of the race practice sessions

Qualifying Periods (5 - 120 minutes)
The maximum length of the qualifying sessions

Race Distance (10% - 100%)
What percentage of the actual race length you will race at

Separate Race and Qualifying Car Setups
If you want a different settings for qualifying and racing

Opposition Standard
The level you wish to race at (i.e. which driving aids are not allowed)

Opposition Spread
All the Same - every car's HP is the same
1991 Levels - each car is set to a different HP (the values are changed in John's 2000 Carsets)
Random - the cars have randomly spread HP

Frame Rate (8.1 - 25.0)
How many frames a second you want to run at (can be raised above 25 with F1Ed)

Animations
Whether you want to view the Podium, crashed car etc. animations

No. of Turn/Player
How many turns each player gets in multiplayer games

Show Distances in
Miles or Km

Disable Joystick Control in Menus
Stops you using the joystick to move the joystick up and down the menus

Fast Windows / Fade Speed
Set the speed at which the windows fade between each other.

Edit Joystick Axes
Joystick A axes
Normal - X for steering, Y for accelerating and braking
Exchanged - Y for steering, X for accelerating and braking

Joystick B axes
Normal - X for steering, Y for accelerating and braking
Exchanged - Y for steering, X for accelerating and braking

Edit Steering Controls
Device
Keys - using the keyboard
Mouse - using the mouse
Joystick A - using joystick A
Joystick B - using joystick B

Mode
Switched - the steering is digital
Linear -
Non-linear -

Steering Help
Yes - computer provides help with steering
No - no help with steering (not available when using keyboard)

The following are only available if steering help is off:

Max Lock (deg) - values 3⁰ - 35⁰
The amount the steering wheels moves from left to right

Mouse Travel - values 2.00" - 8.00"
The amount the mouse travels from left to right

Acceleration/Brake Controls
Acceleration
The button/joystick which is the accelerator
Method of use of accelerator Switched/Linear/Non-linear

Brake
The button/joystick which is the brake
Method of use of brake Switched/Linear/Non-linear

Traction Control
Yes - the computer prevents the wheels from spinning
No - no help with the traction

Gear Change
Specify the button used to upshift and downshift.
