Build your own Panasonic Toyota racing car to win exclusive F1 prizes at Panasonic Toyota Racing.
Panasonic has launched an exciting new micro site at http://www.panasonic-europe.com/racing, dedicated to the Panasonic Toyota Racing team. The central component to the online campaign is a competition in association with Tau, the television technology, which brings the Formula One experience to life in a fun and interactive way.
The competition is about building your own Panasonic Toyota Racing car by collecting key parts of the car over the course of the F1 season. The car parts are found in shockwave challenges such as 'The Racing Line Challenge' and 'The Aerodynamic Test.' These challenges coincide with race weekends in the Formula One calendar.
The grand prize is a drive in a Formula One car for the person with the highest challenge scores. Simple viral mechanics have been included to enhance gameplay and data capture possibilities, with entrants required to partner up to complete certain challenges.
The competition will live on a dedicated microsite, to complement its existing product microsites. The main objective for the site will be to align the Panasonic product range with the lifestyle of Formula One and the pursuit of perfection.
The slogan from the web agency, de-construct, "Performance Enhancing Technology" is the underlying theme for the campaign and appears on all pan-European advertising to promote the partnership.
Additional content explains the role of Panasonic technology used by the team, and features backstage editorial.
